My plants were 36 to 40” tall, but could run taller in better growing conditions. The variegation and fruit production stayed well into the summer heat, which is not often the case for either of these traits in my climate. I was highly pleased with the performance, flavor, and beauty of this new dwarf variety. The best of the best was selected and named “Sweet Splash Electra” by growing partner Cheryl in San Antonio.

In a joint effort with a great group of growing partners in the forum, years were spent in trialing many segregates with careful selection for the greatest leaf variegation, best flavor, and most disease tolerant. The original cross was made by a gardening forum friend of mine, TimothyT in NC. The fruits were 1.75 to 3 ounces, with the smaller fruits at the end of the season.
